When I first got into photography all I had was an iPhone. So my creativity was limitless. I took a photo of anything I thought was interesting, anything that caught my eye. A couple of weeks ago I felt stuck. I felt like I was not taking my photography seriously, but a little too serious at the same time. I realize I stopped shooting just to shoot. The thing that drew me into photography was gone.
I didn’t t really know how to get out of this rut so I began watching videos on YouTube. After binge-watching a few videos on street photography, I finally felt that same passion that I once had for photography. All I wanted to do was go out and shoot.

So I went out around campus just to see what I could capture. At first, I was really nervous because this wasn’t really something I did often. I don’t just walk around with my camera carefree in some time. Now, these aren’t the greatest images I’ve ever taken. But I finally stepped out of this confront zone I created that kept me from shooting for so long. I did this for an entire week; even it was just a few pictures a day I took them.
I think it’s a good thing to remember why you started doing something. Do things you’ve never done before; even it doesn’t come out good.
